Grandeur and elegance in the heart of New Orleans, Omni Royal Orleans is the perfect retreat for a classic luxury city break.

Suited door attendants flank the elegant doorways to Omni Royal Orleans. This is the kind of place where an old school notion of luxury lives. On arrival, guests are ushered into a chandelier-festooned and marbled lobby where attentive check-in staff stand by to lavish more warm welcomes.

The 345 guestrooms are traditional and classic. Expect beds with layers of patterned scatter cushions, frilly valances, and throws, plus statement curtains and traditional lighting. Don’t fret – there are still flatscreen TVs and Wifi.

Conventional luxury reigns supreme here, so it’s all about the extras. A year-round rooftop pool overlooking the French Quarter is a definite draw, with La Riviera, the rooftop bar sitting prettily alongside. Perhaps it’s unsurprising to learn that there’s also a full-service barbershop here, and daily shoeshines are a valued complimentary service.

The Rib Room, the hotel’s restaurant, is a New Orleans institution. Oh, if those wood-panelled walls could talk – what would they say about the celebrity trysts they’ve witnessed over its 60-year history? It’s not your only dining option at the Omni Royal Orleans. For something a little less formal, the Touché Bar has earned itself a reputation of its own for its killer mint juleps to sip alongside a menu of New Orleans-style bar snacks.
