Absolutely New York & Orlando
New York and Orlando make a brilliant double act. There’s an authenticity to New York that’s gritty and glossy in equal measure. Then fly south to Florida and disappear into a world of make-believe in Orlando.
Your holiday starts in the Big Apple. Fill your day with city adventures, whether you want to take a food tour around the Lower East Side, take a boat across the Hudson to see the Statue of Liberty, or see the city from above from numerous observation decks. Then it’s on to Florida to swap the real world for a fantasy one, where Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort stand by to transport you to faraway lands.

New York
Welcome to NYC
You'll most likely touch down in New York in the late afternoon, ready for your first night in this incredible metropolis. Make reservations ahead of time – somewhere with an elevated view of the city is the perfect opening act. The next few days are yours, whether you want to shop on Fifth Avenue, peruse world-class museums, or dedicate yourself to checking out the city’s excellent restaurant and bar scene.
What to in New York
Cram in the fun
If you’ve got your kids with you, take them to the high-tech SPYSCAPE in Midtown, give them a bird' s-eye view of the city from the top of The Edge at Hudson Yards, go on a pizza tour of Brooklyn, or cycle around Governors’ Island. If you’re gearing up for the Harry Potter attractions at Universal Orlando Resort, you could set the scene by catching the Broadway show.
Where to stay in New York
Uptown, Downtown, Midtown, Brooklyn?
When you’re deciding where to stay in New York, it can make sense to work out what you want to see first. Then, you can choose a neighbourhood that makes getting around easy and a hotel that suits your budget. For families, we love The Westin New York at Times Square for its Midtown location or the William Vale if you’d rather get to know Brooklyn better.
Orlando
Fly to the Sunshine State
It only takes three hours to fly from New York to Orlando. When you step off the plane, it’ll likely feel warmer – probably more humid, too – depending on when you’re travelling. Drop your bags off at your hotel or villa, then get ready to be immersed in the wonders of the incredible theme parks Florida is famous for.
What to do in Orlando
Full-on fun
While there are plenty of ways to unwind in Florida (shopping, spas, and golf, for starters), most find themselves here to max out on rollercoasters, dazzling shows, and immersive forays into cinematic worlds on high-tech rides and attractions.
Where to stay in Orlando
Resort hotel or villa?
There are solid arguments for both options. If you’re in Orlando for the first time and want to spend most of your time in the parks, consider a resort hotel at Walt Disney World or Universal Resort Orlando for all the extra perks you get, such as early entry and excellent transportation links.
