Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando Sunset Walk
Fabulous self-catering suites
New for 2024, these modern suites give you ample space and your own kitchen. Plus, you’re within walking distance of an awesome waterpark, Island H20.
In the buzzy Sunset Walk area, one of Orlando’s newer neighbourhoods, this all-suite set-up will give you instant holiday vibes when you arrive at the tropically coloured buildings. It’s a great base to use as a springboard to Orlando adventures, and it’s particularly easy to get to Walt Disney World on the free shuttle. When you want to hang out around the hotel, there’s a zero-entry outdoor pool, complete with a kids’ splash zone with an in-water playground and a beach-style bar for summery refreshments. Within a short walk, the Sunset Walk Promenade has restaurants, lively bars, and entertainment like duelling pianos and tribute acts.
Why we love Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando Sunset Walk
-
Breakfast is free every day, and there’s a daily complimentary evening reception with beer and wine.
-
All the suites have kitchenettes or full kitchens for self-catering, although there’s a great selection of restaurants at Sunset Walk Promenade, a ten-minute walk from the hotel.
-
You can catch a free shuttle bus to Walt Disney World, but if you want to hire a car to drive to other parks, attractions, and malls, there’s free parking at the hotel.
-
An outdoor pool has a colourful water play zone and a bar serving refreshments, but you can dial up the fun factor at Island H20 water park, which is within walking distance and open from March to November.
Rooms
The suites feel beachy thanks to pops of teal blue, tropical green, and oak accents. Hardwood floors, quartz countertops, gold fixtures, double vanities, and contemporary tiling give the suites a premium feel, and the corner suites are particularly generously sized. The larger suites have washing and drying facilities – perfect if you’re travelling with small children or planning an extended holiday in Orlando. Accessible rooms adapted for hearing and mobility are available. If you’re holidaying in a group, adjoining suites can be requested.
Facilities
You’ve got a full kitchen set-up in most of the suites here, but breakfast is included and served in the lobby. There’s also a complimentary evening reception with beer and wine. Down by the Oasis Beach Club, Mango Moon serves drinks and snacks. If you’re looking for more choices, the Sunset Walk Promenade is just a short walk away.
Mango Moon
By the pool, a tropical-themed beach bar and grille serves refreshments all day.

Pros: Hotel is new and beautifully decorated. I loved the bright colors that were used throughout. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and never busy. Yes, the chaffing dish lids don't stay open their own so you will have to set your plate down to scoop your food. During the evening reception you get 2 free drinks and the had snacks (pretzels, crackers, cheese). Fitness center was large with plenty of towels and sanitizing wipes. The room was clean and well stocked. We didn't cook, but there seemed to be plenty of pans, dishes, and a variety of cooking utensils. Toaster, blender, and Keurig coffee machine. The master bathroom had a huge shower and separate tub. Towels in the room were good sized and fluffy. The tv had several channels and the ability to stream from Netflix. Each bedroom/living room had a ceiling fan. Parking was easy to find and close to building entrance. The hotel is located within walking distance of several shops and restaurants. Within a short drive there are even more restaurants and shops. Publix is across the main street and was a convenient place to get groceries. You can order in room dining from a few of the local restaurants. The pool area was clean with plenty of chairs/umbrellas available. Cons: This is more of a condo complex than a hotel. The buildings are separate and require you to walk, uncovered, from building to building. If you're not in building 1 then you will have to walk or drive to the main building for breakfast, bar/restaurant, front desk, and fitness center. If you have small kids, or if it is raining, this would be very inconvenient. The walk to the pool from building 1 was unnecessarily long. You have to go out the front of the building and walk around back. Once you get to the pool you have to check in, which I hated. I found it odd and I've never been asked to check in at a hotel pool before. The pool towels are super small and cheap. They were the kind of towels I would expect at a much cheaper hotel. The worst part about the pool was that it closes at 6 pm. In Florida that is absolutely ridiculous. The food at the pool bar/restaurant was pretty good, but they told my husband they can't make a Long Island Ice Tea. That is a pretty basic bar drink that every bar should be able to make. Housekeeping is spotty. The first day they came no problem, but the second day we returned to our room around 4 pm and they hadn't come yet. We called the front desk to inquire and they informed us that you have to request it every day, which no one told us. So we put in the request for daily housekeeping. The third day they came no problem. The fourth day we returned to the room at 3 pm (which was a little early) and they still hadn't come. The hotel is still under construction which wasn't stated when we booked. During the day I could hear construction noise from the balcony. We booked our room with points and utilized the 5th night free. Overall we enjoyed our stay and I really loved the room. We might return, but only if they extend the pool hours. That was a big deal breaker for me.

We had an amazing time! Our room was new, clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We had a corner room in building 2 on the fourth floor which was very close to everything and had a nice view of the pool. Breakfast which is in included was great and had a good variety of food. We had omelettes and fresh fruit every morning. The pool and water slide area was not too busy and perfect for our family. All staff that we had interactions with were very pleasant and helpful. Housekeeping came every day with fresh towels, replenished our coffee pods and made sure our room was spotless. The location is within walking distance to Sunset Walk which offers a ton of dining options, live music etc. just be prepared to get some steps in. We would recommend 100%
