Boutique Hotel San Roque

Atmospheric and authentic in gorgeous Garachico

A design-centric hideaway close to the ocean and the village’s vibrant Pueblo-style square.

Picturesque Garachico might not be as high profile as Tenerife’s other towns but therein lies its charm. This terracotta-hued 18th-century manor house is eye-candy for the design-minded with original features colliding with contemporary art and hip furnishings. The restaurant and pool take shelter in a dreamy courtyard where catch of the day is followed by homemade sorbets.

Why we love Boutique Hotel San Roque

  • You’re a world away from the more developed resorts on the south.

  • Breakfasts are taken in the palm garden to a soundtrack of birds.

  • The tranquil pool set in a cloistered courtyard.

  • Rooms are peppered with history, art and Mies van der Rohe chairs.

Anturium Restaurant White-linen tables spill out onto the pool patio, edging the lamp-lined splash of water, for atmospheric al-fresco dining.

Hoffmann Bar With a nod to Austrian designer Josef Hoffman, you'll find Kubus armchairs dotted throughout this cosy space. Bottles of spirits are clustered on a glass table, while art and design books line the wooden shelves.

The menu at Anturium draws on ingredients from the island, with wine-and-food pairings that take in bottles from Canaria and further afield.
