Bahia del Duque

Seductive setting and sensational dining

A lavish beachfront village-style resort with superb facilities for all ages.

Gardens are laced with dragon trees and huge pools stretch down to a golden beach. Shaded terraces look out to glinting waters and bridges lead to intoxicating restaurants. There’s Michelin-star dining at Nub, French cuisine at La Brasserie by Pierre Résimont and seafood overlooking the ocean. The Wellness spa has its own treasures with Thai rituals, private yoga sessions and Thalassotherapy circuits.

Why we love Bahia del Duque

  • The hotel has its own stargazing observatory for a cosmic experience without the crowds.

  • Drop the kids into the Duqui Club for treasure hunting, face painting and cooking workshops.

  • Get under the Thalasso pool’s waterfall for a touch of Bali in Tenerife.

  • Go all in with a Casa Ducales Sea View Room for 24-hour butler service and free evening Champagne.

The incredible Bahia Wellness Retreat Spa draws inspiration from the island’s natural landscapes for its range of treatments and programmes (for guests 16 years and above). Excellent facilities include 20 treatment rooms, five outdoor cabanas and a unique open-air Thalassotherapy circuit with a therapeutic vitality pool, water jets, water massage beds, saunas, steam room and cold water pool.

Explore the shops, bars and restaurants along the promenade or take a botanical walk through the gardens. The hotel has two tennis and a padel court.

There is direct access to Duque Sur and Duque Norte beaches or you can take your pick from one of the five swimming pools at the resort.

Bahia del Duque is committed to reducing consumption, emissions and waste. They’ve reduced their water footprint with the desalination of seawater and produce is sourced locally or from their own organic vegetable garden. The hotel has charging points for electric cars and each year takes part in ‘Earth Hour.’

It’s a ten minute drive from Siam Park, a huge waterpark that’s been voted the best in the world on TripAdvisor, and there are also several golf courses close by if you prefer something a little more sedate.

The Duqui kids’ club caters for children aged 3-12 and runs all day. There’s also a Teen Lounge, which has a PlayStation and a Wii, and the MiniDisco in the evening is popular with little ones. We’d also recommend a meal at Alisios Market Food, where you can enjoy tasty Mediterranean fine dining that welcomes kids. Perfect for curious palettes.

The villas are particularly well suited to families – we love the one-bedroom Las Palmeras villas, which sleep up to two adults and two children and have lots of space both inside and out thanks to a large sun deck and private pool. The two-bedroom Las Mimosas villas are even bigger, with space to sleep for four adults and two children, or five adults and an infant. Both villas come with 24-hour butler service, so you don’t have to lift a finger.

The Duqui Club offers fun activities for 3-12 year olds and the Teen Lounge entertains older children video and board games.

There's a 9-hole Pitch and Putt and five golf courses in the surrounding areas.
