Central Vietnam Suggested Itinerary

This short suggested itinerary shows you the best of Central Vietnam that takes in Hue, often referred to as the most beautiful of Vietnam's cities and historical Hoi An – a fabulous riverside city and UNESCO world heritage centre. It's perfect if you want to add a touch of culture and sightseeing to some time spent on the beach at one of the nearby east-coast resorts.

Days 1-2

Hue

Once Vietnam's capital, Hue is a great city to explore. We've included Hue's Highlights in a Day experience where you'll visit Minh Mang Tomb, the tranquil resting place of the leader of the Nguyen Dynasty. Then on to the towering Thien Mu Pagoda before boarding a traditional dragon boat to head along the Perfume River to the walled Citadel and Imperial City. Finish at the historic Dong Ba Market.

Days 3-5

Hoi An

Hoi An has a unique heritage and striking blend of French Colonial and Asian architecture and this UNESCO-listed Ancient Town which was once a thriving port. We've included a half day guided walking tour to see the city’s highlights. You’ll visit a traditional house, the Hoi An Museum and Cau Temple before relaxing on a boat trip along Thu Bon river.
