Caravelle Saigon

Vintage icon in the city’s heart

This central hotel has diverse dining and is a great base for exploring Ho Chi Minh City.

The distinctive Caravelle Saigon, which opened in 1959, is right next to the city’s famous Opera House, built to stage theatre, music and dance shows. The hotel’s location makes it an excellent option for exploring Ho Chi Minh City, whose highlights include the City Hall and Ho Chi Minh City Museum. After a day of sightseeing, you can retreat to the hotel’s seventh floor, home to an indulgent city-view spa and a leafy poolside area with shaded daybeds.

Why we love Caravelle Saigon

  • It’s in a the heart of Saigon, next to the Opera House, and close to Notre Dame Cathedral and the Ben Thanh Market

  • The ground-floor Café de l’Opera has been a popular haunt since the hotel opened and has some of the best coffee in the city

  • There’s a wide range of treatments at Kara Spa, such as the comprehensive and thoroughly relaxing Serenity for Couples

  • You can drink in the views of the sparkling cityscape at night from the rooftop bar, one of the oldest in Ho Chi Minh City
