Hanoi to Halong Bay

Depart the city of Hanoi for Halong Bay (approx. 110 miles; 3½-4 hours). Board the elegant Au Co ship and cruise towards south-west Halong Bay with lunch on board. Travel around Cua Van Floating Culture Centre by kayak or traditional rowing boat. Return to the ship and head towards Bai Tu Long Bay. Enjoy Happy Hour at Lan Ha Open Bar, and dinner in the restaurant watching Vietnamese cultural dances. The evening is at leisure.

Day 2

Halong Bay

Join a t'ai chi class or just soak up the incredible views of the bay as the ship sets off. After breakfast, get a look at Cat Ba Island, where you can cycle to Viet Hai Village nestled at the heart of Cat Ba National Park. Enjoy some free time back on the ship before lunch, then visit Trinh Nu Cave – filled with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. Swim in the clear waters or relax on the beach. Take part in Masterchef 'Halong Bay Edition' before a barbecue party.

Day 3

Halong Bay to Hanoi

This morning there is another chance to join in with t'ai chi on the deck. After breakfast, explore Sung Sot Cave, the largest in Halong Bay with a 500-metre paved passageway. Return to the ship and continue breakfast as the ship passes Lom Bo Island, Trong Mai Islet and Ba Hang fishing village. Join a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony before disembarking at Tuan Chau. Transfer to Hanoi by road and return to your city hotel.
