Katathani Phuket Beach Resort

Let the fun begin

A deluxe hotel on Kata Noi Beach with a range of fantastic dining options.

Katathani is a spacious resort hemming a long, broad ribbon of soft sands and crystal-clear waters. It’s within walking distance of Kata’s shops, bars and restaurants and you’re spoilt for things to keep you entertained with a fitness centre, sauna, Jacuzzi and a variety of boutiques. Families, in particular, are well catered for in the Bhuri Wing where kids can play around the four kids’ pools, mini water slide and in the Chang Noi Kids’ Club.

Why we love Katathani Phuket Beach Resort

  • In a prime spot right on beautiful Kata Noi Beach, its stellar range of water sports includes e-surfing and trips in see-through kayaks

  • Seaside views are (almost) a given at the resort’s restaurants, which offer everything from superb fish to Italian classics

  • Children can have fun in the kids’ pools and their own club, while their parents enjoy quiet moments in the spa

  • It’s a fantastic base for island-hopping trips through the Andaman Sea, where the scenery is stunning above and below the waves

Tew Son Spa is part of the Asian Wind collection of spas in Phuket and offers private and shared treatments in a peaceful tropical setting. Therapies at the spa include Swedish, Thai, deep tissue and stress releasing massages; facials, body wraps and scrubs. Lymphatic drainage, herbal steam baths and pedicures.

There's a daily programme of activities at the hotel including Thai cooking lessons, fruit carving, archery and visits to the night markets.

As well as a choice of six swimming pools. Katathani has a prime location on Kata Noi Beach. Tours can be arranged to Phi Phi Island for diving and snorkelling.

Katathani is a previous winner of the Phuket Zero Waste Contest. Solar panels provide the energy for water heating, they produce their own bio-degradable and organic soap and the resort cleans the beach twice a day. They have also introduced 'Environmental Detectives' - an education programme for students to join Katathani's sustainability team to protect the environment of the island.

Supervised activities at the kids’ club cover ages 5 to 12 (you can bring a younger child if you stay with them). There are extra activities like Junior Master Chef* and traditional Thai kite making*. We love the hotel’s private night market – it’s a nice place to pick up little handmade trinkets to take home.

We recommend the Grand Deluxe Rooms – they sleep four, with children on trundle beds in a separate space divided by a partition, and the adult area is next to a roomy balcony so you can sit outside with a glass of wine while they sleep.

Compulsory Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve gala dinners, supplements apply.
