 Viceroy Bali

Tantalising escape to the treetops

A boutique retreat with appealing intimacy and a breathtaking pool hanging over the valley.

Thatched roofs, palms trees and dramatic jungle views are the start of this dreamy escape. High up in the treetops there’s a floating infinity pool, multi-level spa and traditional lounging bales. The two award-winning restaurants feature Asian and European menus as well as 24-hour in-villa dining. And those villas and suites? Many come with private plunge pools, infinity pools and traditional Balinese pavilions.

Fine dining comes as standard here. High in the treetop canopy, the award-winning CasCades Restaurant serves a tempting European menu with an Asian twist. Looking over the lush jungle valley, the award-winning Apéritif Restaurant & Bar offers guests a superb degustation menu that explores the eclectic flavours of the Indonesian archipelago. The CasCades Bar is the perfect spot to enjoy cocktails and fine wines while watching the sun set over the Petanu River.

Apéritif Restaurant
Experience a culinary journey at Apéritif where a range of degustation menus are accompanied by an extensive wine list.

CasCades Bali Restaurant
From stylish lunches to romantic dinners, CasCades offers a mix of international and local dishes. The Royal Balinese Rijsttafel is something of a tradition at CasCades. Accompanied by world class wines, this tasting menu will take you on a journey through Indonesian flavours.

Apéritif Bar
Be sure to visit the restaurant's cocktail bar. With a 1930's vibe you can try cocktails inspired by artists, writers and musicians who were drawn to Bali's culture and landscape. Try Rudolf Bonnet's The Artist, Margaret Mead's The Anthropologist or Colin McPhee's The Composer.

With its range of degustation menus, we love the fine-dining 1920's setting of the award-winning Apéritif Restaurant.

From the moment we were picked up from the airport, this hotel exceeded all expectations, Nova our driver was very informative and friendly, checkin was amazing, the checkin staff gave us all the information we could ever need and were so helpful during our stay, organising trips and tours for us and they were contactable 24 hours a day on WhatsApp. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a terrace villa which was beautiful and as for the food, we ate in both restaurants and the bar and they were all amazing and they catered for my wife’s dietary requirements perfectly. Every part of the hotel was impeccably maintained from the rooms to pool and all the grounds, everywhere was so clean and tidy. But what really makes this hotel special is the staff, they are all so friendly and wanting to help in any way they can, even Margaret, the owner, was there every day, she gave us a great insight into how the hotel runs and how it was constructed. We will return as soon as we can and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bali

We had the most wonderful time at The Viceroy. The hotel is stunning and the staff cannot do enough to make your stay special. We booked a bespoke day trip with Chess, one of the hotel drivers, and had such a special day visiting rice terraces, waterfalls and taking part in a water purification ceremony. We also got to experience Nyepi at the hotel which was again such a unique and enjoyable experience. Dinner at Aperitif was just sensational! We would highly recommend staying here as it is truly wonderful- thank you.

I stayed here in September for 5 nights with my wife and infant. We were blown away on how good this hotel was. I’d say the hotel is primarily aimed at couples and romantic getaways, and I was conscious of this with our baby. I need not have worried, we were treated fantastically and with such genuine warmth. At check in, we were upgrade to a Deluxe terrace villa. The villa was spotless, and had all the modern amenities such as wireless charging. Now onto the view and the USP of this hotel. The view from the private pool. The convenience of having a swim at whatever time of day was brilliant. Pictures do not do it justice. The breakfast was very good, as was the pinstripe bar, and the cascades restaurant. Just like everything in the hotel, if you need anything at all, staff are on hands to help immediately, and always seem to have solutions to any query. I have no complaints whatsoever with this hotel, and have since recommended this hotel to anyone wanting to be fairly close to Ubud centre, but wanting to enjoy the peace and tranquillity around it. Lastly, our child was poorly during our stay and it was dealt with professionally and with care. Thankyou to all the staff for making our stay a truly 5 star experience.
