The decoration of the 85 rooms and suites reflects Galle’s cosmopolitan history and its coastal location. The Luxury Rooms, which are located in both the hotel's main wing and its spa wing, feature a balcony or terrace with resort and sea views. For a special treat, choose to stay in one of the three unique Themed Suites which have either Chinese, Moroccan or colonial Dutch-inspired décor.

There are three restaurants, a poolside pizzeria and two very different bars, complemented by imaginative signature dining experiences.

Cardamon Café
Head to the hotel’s 24-hour restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the cool dining room or out on the terrace. Enjoy a wide variety of buffet dishes at breakfast and set menus or buffets featuring international and Sri Lankan dishes at lunch and dinner.

The Cinnamon Room
The hotel’s evening-only fine-dining venue has a reputation as one of the best seafood restaurants in Galle. Enjoy attentive service, delicious cuisine and a fantastic setting overlooking the ocean.

Nihal’s
At the à la carte restaurant Nihal’s, open for lunch and dinner, you can enjoy global cuisine with a local twist. For a special occasion, try the seven-course dinner tasting menu.

Lorenzo’s Pizza Bar
This casual poolside eatery serves not just pizza, but also a wide range of light bites and drinks.

The Verandah
Open from early until late, this inviting open-air spot is the place to come for coffee, tea or a cocktail and snack overlooking the sea.

Coats of Arms Bar
The charming main bar, where the walls are adorned with antique British and Sri Lanka flags, is the spot to socialise until late over a cocktail and a game of pool.

We love the resort’s private dining options which include the ‘Among the Rocks' barbecue for two.

The secluded Ayurvedic spa has a steam room, plunge pool and several treatment rooms. You can choose from a range of massage rituals, facials, body scrubs and wraps at the hands of expert Balinese therapists. Opt for a signature Abhyanga Ayurveda massage for a blissful introduction to this ancient wellness practice. Yoga sessions are available on request.

Fitness fanatics can work out in the fully equipped gym, which is open from 6am to 9pm, or head outside to the floodlit tennis court.

An onsite biomass boiler fuelled by sustainable cinnamon wood 24 hours a day is used to generate steam for hot water. Food waste from the kitchens and restaurants is turned into biogas that powers modified stoves in the staff kitchen. Jetwing Lighthouse continues to support a community swimming pool built to teach local children how to swim for free. The hotel works with local operators on its responsible whale-watching tours, carried out by its resident naturalist.

Child-and-parent-friendly facilities include babysitting services, a kids’ pool and flexible accommodation choices.

Minimum stay: 3 nights year round.
