Mysore is known as a heritage city, and this hotel is very much a part of that heritage.
The Royal Orchid Metropole has been serving guests visiting Mysore for over 100 years. This heritage property was first built by the Wadiyar dynasty as a guest house to welcome the Maharaja’s international visitors. Some of the hotel’s traditions are maintained with high tea served in the lounge. Royal Orchid Metropole is now a wonderful base for exploring the city’s main sites with the magnificent Palace of Mysore and Jayachamarajendra Art Gallery within walking distance of the hotel. After sightseeing, you may want to take advantage of the hotel’s swimming pool or wander through the beautifully landscaped gardens.

Facilities
There is a choice of dining venues. Shikari is the open-air barbecue restaurant serving international cuisine and grilled kebabs whilst Tiger Trail is famed throughout Mysore for its Indian cuisine. Finish your evening at Skan’del, the hotel’s bar.
