Marari Beach Resort is set on 36-acres in the vibrant fishing community of Mararikulam on Kerala’s coastline.
The resort offers some wonderful experiences to get the most out of your beach stay. You'll be staying just off a long stretch of virgin beach amongst a coconut grove where there's plenty of space to just switch off and relax.
Take an early morning walk with the naturalist guide to the harbour to watch the fish as it is landed. Join in with the daily yoga session or head to the Ayurvedic centre for some pampering. Cool off in the salt-water swimming pool or wander through the colourful butterfly garden. In the early evening, look out for the gentleman serving chai on the lawn; his artistic delivery of the hot tea is worthy of a photo.

Chakara is the resort’s main restaurant serving seafood, Indian and international cuisine. Enjoy a sundowner and live music at the Beach Shack before finishing your evening with a drink in the 200-year-old Club House.

At Chakara, it’s definitely worth taking the chef’s recommendation on the fresh catch of the day, particularly if it’s the squid grilled with masala.
There's a yoga centre offering daily sessions and at the Ayurveda centre you can unwind with a herbal oil massage.
Activities here include walks with a naturalist, backwater cruises, cycling, badminton, tennis and volleyball.
CGH properties are big on being sustainable. They have their own bio gas plant, a strict waste management system and hire from the local community. Needless to say, there aren’t any plastic bottles to be seen and they make as much as they can from discarded material - even their Christmas decorations are made from recycled products.
The seas here can be rough so the saltwater swimming pool may be a better option for your daily swim.
