Chitvan Jungle Lodge, Kanha National Park

Chitvan Jungle Lodge is next to the core zone of Kanha National Park. Morning and afternoon safaris explore the park where there may be the chance to see tiger, leopard, swamp deer, Indian bison and wild dogs. Many of Kanha’s colourful birds and butterflies can be seen around the lodge. After exploring the park, taking a nature walk or visit the nearby village, return to the lodge where meals are served using organic ingredients.

Chitvan Jungle Lodge is proactively involved in local community projects and has also planted over 3,000 trees to create a mini forest to increase cross ventilation to the rooms and therefore naturally reducing the amount of air-conditioning used.

Accessible from Jabalpur (approx. 2½ hours by road) which is a 2-hour flight from Mumbai; Mumbai is a 9-hour flight from the UK
