Wildflower Hall – An Oberoi Resort

A dose of the aristocratic good life

Perched 8,500 feet above sea level and surrounded by a cedar forest, The Oberoi Wildflower Hall holds a prominent position overlooking the Shimla Valley.

The hotel has a very stately setting as it was the former home of Lord Kitchener, Commander-in-Chief of the British army. The views of the Himalaya are spectacular and the forested paths are perfect for exploration on foot or by mountain bike after which some pampering in the spa will be deserved. It is an eloquent property brimming with character and with plenty of facilities including a wonderful temperature-controlled indoor swimming pool and a fitness centre with cardio-vascular equipment. Some of the activities are seasonal, in summer you can play tennis, in winter the court is transformed into an ice-skating rink.

Why we love Wildflower Hall – An Oberoi Resort

  • Located away from the town, this is place for relaxation and seclusion

  • The most spectacular vistas are arguably from the outdoor Jacuzzi and glass-walled indoor pool

  • An abundance of exotic wood, silk sofas, grand chandeliers and crackling fireplaces reflect the days of the Raj

  • At the spa, two treatment rooms are set within the treetop canopy
