Deluxe Rooms have a stylish and modern interior,  blending a classic refinement with all the usual mod cons you’d expect of a city hotel. In the marble-clad bathrooms, rainfall showers complement the room’s sleek design, and a few even offer indulgent Jacuzzi-style baths. With only one room category, the only decision is a twin or double.

The generous breakfast buffet, the bar and room service are a useful complement to the array of places to eat and drink in the immediate area.

Bar The cosy bar stocks a good range of drinks, including draught beer, and has a proper coffee machine as well.

On hot summer days, you can linger over breakfast in the shady inner courtyard.

The spa suite, available for 90-minute private sessions, has a sauna, steam bath, ice waterfall, two infrared stations, sensory shower, emotional shower and relaxation area. There is a small gym on the sixth floor, featuring a range of Technogym cardio and weights machines. If you prefer to exercise outside, the hotel offers free bike hire to its guests.

Located within Verona's city walls, Hotel Giberti is a great base for exploring the city on foot or by bike. The Arena, where regular opera performances are shown, is just 500 metres from the hotel.

Minimum stay: 2 nights 10-12 Apr and 25-26 Oct.

Hotel is not available 24-27 Sep.

The hotel is currently being renovated, with work due to be completed later this year.
