There are solar panels on flat roof space to maximise natural energy and grey water is recirculated as irrigation for the tropical gardens. Rainwater is harvested and used for in house laundry. and glass refillable bottles are used for natural rainforest spring water collection.

The St Lucia Golf and Country Club is a few minutes from Cap Maison. Allowing for the strong winds, numerous water hazards and fast greens, this par 71 course has a USGA rating of 74.3.
