An intimate beachfront retreat that feels like a private home

This stylish, adults-only boutique, set amid tropical gardens and overlooking a crescent white beach, is a peaceful, grown-up hideaway.

From the moment you step through the oversized wooden doors into the airy reception area, The House’s beguiling atmosphere begins to work its magic. There’s the sight of the turquoise sea just beyond, and the warm welcome from your personal service ambassador – there are no front-desk formalities here. It all adds to the feeling of being in a luxurious private home, with just 34 rooms and suites creating a sense of private intimacy.

34 rooms and suites make The House feel like an intimate home. The décor is minimalist without being cold. Whitewashed walls and custom wood furnishings are complemented by bright local artworks, all designed to evoke the barefoot chic of a private beach house. All rooms feature king beds, French doors and comfy cotton linens, and every room comes with a 24-hour ambassador. Every guests also gets at least a 30-minute jet lag massage for free; if you’re staying in an Ocean View Junior Suite or Ocean View One Bedroom Suite, you’ll get an hour-long one. Opt for a Garden View One Bedroom Suite to admire scented tropical plants.

Dining at The House is a relaxed affair; choose to have dinner in the lobby lounge or on the oceanfront deck, or order to your suite or private beach cabana (all-day and moonlight menus are available, along with 24-hour room service).

The team can put together a private dining experience if you’re in the mood for romance, and if you’re after more variety, the resort’s dine-around programme means you can eat at selected sister properties for no extra cost. Head to Tamarind next door for a variety of themed nights, or try Colony Club for the locally renowned Lobster & Jazz evening.

The Deck
This open-air restaurant is the hub of The House, serving food throughout the day against a glittering ocean backdrop. Breakfast features unlimited champagne, and the afternoon tea is a delight with scones, pastries and other sweet and savoury treats served from 4-5pm. Don’t miss the complimentary pre-dinner canapes from 7-8pm each evening, either.

Positano
Whisk yourself away to Italy’s Amalfi Coast for the evening at this newly opened restaurant, overseen by head chef Marcello Piacentini. Get here for 5pm to catch happy hour before tucking into a pizza or pasta dish with chilled beats for a backdrop.

Learn about the island’s national spirit at this relaxed bar, serving rum cocktails and shots with a side of Bajan flare.

Champagne breakfasts and afternoon teas with a side of ocean breeze make The Deck our favourite spot.

Tamarind next door has an excellent watersports centre, with several complimentary activities for guests at The House – from snorkelling and sailing to waterskiing and kayaking, plus a stand-up paddleboard tour in search of the area’s renowned sea turtles. The Aqua School also offers free lessons if you’re looking to learn.

Guests over 18 are welcome at this resort.
