Set on a sugary white beach, this all-inclusive resort is great for families as well as couples, with plenty to explore on the doorstep.

This resort is tucked away in tropical gardens edging a protected lagoon and soft white sands; the beach is home to nesting leatherback turtles, and the tranquil bay’s calm waters are a great alternative to the crashing surf of other south-coast resorts. The elegant interiors are cool and airy with boho-chic furniture and a blend of contemporary and traditional touches – from sparkling chandeliers and lush plants to bright prints and a wall of colourful chattel house shutters. We love the Oceanfront rooms for their sparkling sea views, and the Family Suites have a separate living room with sofa bed so are perfect if you’re travelling as a group.

From Caribbean favourites to international themed buffets, the dining scene here is diverse, and two speciality restaurants add extra allure (guests can dine for free at the specialty venues once every three days, or up to twice in a week).
