Beautifully designed with elegance and style, Al Husn is one of the finest hotels on the Arabian Peninsula.
Formerly part of Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, Al Husn is now a separate property – with the perk of continued access to the resort’s extensive facilities right on its doorstep. The perfect retreat for a romantic Arabian escape, this hotel is ideal for spending lazy days by the tranquil infinity pool or on the private beach with its commanding views – accessible only to guests staying at Al Husn.
Why we love Shangri-La Al Husn Resort & Spa

The new contemporary Indian restaurant, Aangan by Rohit Ghai has a wonderful clifftop setting
Rooms
Each of the 180 rooms and suites have been thoughtfully decorated in a traditional Arabian style and feature paintings by local Omani artists. Deluxe Rooms have a furnished terrace or balcony overlooking the courtyard and pool area. If you enjoy waking up to a view of the sea, choose a Deluxe Sea View Room.
Facilities
Choose between enticing flavours of contemporary India at Aangan by Rohit Ghai or the Mediterranean dishes served at Sultanah – both of which are located on site at Al Husn. Or make the most of the resort and choose from several restaurants and bars at Al Waha and Al Bandar.
Angaan by Rohit Ghai
Overlooking the Gulf of Oman this chic restaurant offers contemporary Indian cuisine.
Sultanah
Inspired by an Omani cruise liner, the nautical setting of Sultanah offers a Mediterranean menu.
Mahhara Beach Bar
Located adjacent to the hotel’s private beach, this is a great place for grilled seafood and salads.
Al Muheet
The hotel's casual poolside eatery for the exclusive use of guests at Al Husn.
From sweet corn paneer to prawn masala, chef Rohit Ghai has created a menu of signature contemporary Indian dishes that are designed for sharing at Angaan.
