Palm River Hotel offers the best of both worlds, a picturesque setting on the banks of the Zambezi yet just a few kilometres from Victoria Falls and town.
The property’s design has been influenced by Australian Queenslander architecture with lots of use of timber and corrugated iron that suits the climatic conditions. The hotel was built with sustainability in mind, with solar and hydro-electricity power and greenhouses to grow vegetables for the hotel's restaurant.
After exploring the falls or taking a river cruise on the Zambezi you may wish to unwind with an aromatherapy treatment in the hotel’s spa or cool off in the infinity swimming pool.

Facilities
À la carte meals are served under a canopy of trees or in the hotel’s grand dining hall. If you prefer, private candlelit dinners can be arranged poolside under the stars, where you may also hear the grunt of hippos in the river or see elephants foraging along the bank.
There's a small gym and a spa room where you can be pampered whilst taking in views of the Zambezi.
Take a cruise on the river at breakfast, lunch or sunset. These cruises are also great for bird watching. Using the hotel's complimentary shuttle service, you can visit Victoria Falls or browse the craft markets at Victoria Falls Town.
When the hotel was being built, 150 indigenous trees were identified and protected which now provide shade in the hotter months. They have onsite vegetable and herb growing greenhouses. They use a hybrid hydro-electricity and solar plant for their power.
They also support the Victoria Falls Anti Poaching Unit, local schools, a pensioners' home and a ward at the hospital.
