Set amongst rugged boulders against a pristine landscape of the Namib Desert lies Elegant Desert Camp.
Elegant Desert Camp is a place of tranquility where you can sit and absorb the incredible scenery. Despite its vastness, the Namib Desert is home to many animals which you may spot while walking the nature trails which you can do with or without a guide.
The camp’s waterhole is also regularly visited by plenty of wildlife including mountain zebras, springbok and hyena. On occasion you may see Namibia’s national animal the oryx, with its distinctive long horns. Between activities you can relax at the large pool deck or enjoy a cold beer at the bar. The camp's slogan is 'creating lifetime memories' and it certainly lives up to that reputation.

Facilities
Accompanied by a choice of South African wines, dinner is often a traditional braai (barbecue) served under the stars in the boma.
Half day trips to explore nearby Sossusvlei and Sesriem can be arranged from the camp and a scenic drive at sunset is a wonderful time to experience the colours of the desert.
The camp was designed to have a very minimal environmental impact, the building materials are removable and recyclable, solar power is used and water comes from boreholes.
