Voyager Ziwani is a luxury tented camp set in a conservancy on the edge of Tsavo National Park. Once a German garrison from WWII, it’s now a peaceful haven next to the Sante River.
It's one of the few camps that offers activities for children where they can learn about their natural environment and the local culture. From golden-breasted starlings to the Somali ostrich, the birdlife in Tsavo is prolific. Game drives explore the conservancy by day and night, bush walks will bring you closer to the smaller creatures and after dinner, you can go stargazing.

Our Expert Tips
Tsavo stargazing and night drives
Discover the wonders of Tsavo after dark with a stargazing session and nocturnal game drive. When night falls at Voyager Ziwani, you get incredible views of the clear sky. After dinner, there is a telescope which you can use to spot constellations and planets. Since Voyager Ziwani is set in a conservancy just outside of Tsavo, they can offer activities not allowed in the National Park, including bush walks and night drives.

There are 25 tents with en suite bathrooms. After game drives in the conservancy or in Tsavo National Park, relax on your veranda and look out for the passing wildlife.

Meals are served in the restaurant which offers one of the best viewpoints overlooking the water and Mount Kilimanjaro.

Take a picnic lunch and sundowners to visit the Mzima Springs, the Shetani Lava Flow and Chala, a crater lake that’s a hotspot for wildlife. As you’re staying on a conservancy rather than the national park, guests are allowed to take part in guided bush walks, visit the local Maasai community and enjoy night time game drives. Don’t miss the stargazing after dinner.
The Adventurers’ Club for kids is also a highlight and offers activities like archery, natural dying classes, animal footprint casting and fire making.
