Sweetwaters Serena boasts stunning views of Mount Kenya and fantastic game viewing in the private Ol Pejeta conservancy. Home to the largest black rhino conservancy in East Africa, Ol Pejeta is an exceptional place to embark on your safari adventure. The camp’s dining room, aptly named the Rhino Dining Room, has huge windows overlooking the local watering hole, so you can watch wildlife while enjoying your meals. Visit the Endangered Species Enclosure to learn about rhino conservation or meet the rescued animals at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary – the only one in Kenya. For a look into the habits of the most awe-inspiring predators, take a night drive under the starry sky.

Rooms
There are 39 Standard Wing Tents with grass-thatched roofs (mirroring the local architecture) that give you that traditional camping feel. The modern Morani Wing’s 17 tents offer more space.
Comfortable tents facing the watering hole. Tents consist of either a double bed or twin beds. Some tents are raised on platforms.

Located in the newer Morani Wing, these tents are warmly furnished with traditional African touches. Glass doors add to the dramatic backdrop of the striking plains. Tents feature a king-sized bed, twin or triple beds, with one double bed adapted for disabled guests.

Facilities
Meals are served in the Rhino Dining Room, with an international buffet for breakfast and lunch and multi-course set menus for dinner. The aptly named Water Hole Bar provides plenty of refreshments as you watch the passing wildlife.

There’s a swimming pool for relaxation between safaris and therapists offer massages.
Go on a game drive in the private conservancy by day or night, visit Kenya’s only chimpanzee sanctuary or learn about conservation by tracking lions.
Conservation is a two-way relationship between nature and their local communities. They source fruit and vegetables from the local farmers. They have accomplished a Gold-Eco Rated Certification – the highest accreditation in Kenya through their sustainable initiatives. They support a local school, orphanage and subsidise medical care for the community.
