Set on its very own island amid the beauty of the Okavango Panhandle (the main waterway that feeds the delta), a stay at this exclusive 8-chalet lodge is the perfect way to compliment a traditional game-viewing safari. Although there is plenty of wildlife, here you’ll find it’s more about enjoying the slower pace of life, exploring the waterways and soaking up the local indigenous culture. Nestled within the greenery, you’ll find a tranquil spa and swimming pool too. Activity-wise, spend your days gliding through the waters on a mokoro or watching kingfishers and herons take over the skies. And when the night falls, warm up around the campfire or head to your private cosy cabin.

Rooms
Cosy thatched-roof chalets are set under the forest canopy leading to private decks that overlook the waters and the wonderful wildlife. It’s tranquil, beautiful and the perfect place to switch off. Surrounded by greenery, each chalet feels totally secluded yet just a stroll along the wooden walkway will take you to the lodge’s communal area. The standard chalets are perfect for couples, whilst the family chalet with its two bedrooms offers enough space for the whole gang.

Clink glasses and fill others in on your adventures at the lodge’s cosy outdoor dining area, where buffet style 3-course meals are served. There’s also a beautiful campfire overlooking the waterways where you can enjoy a peaceful nightcap whilst soaking up the views.

Open plan lounge area linked to all the chalets by wooden walkways. Head here for all your buffet style home-cooked meals are freshly prepared for you. A campfire on the main deck is the perfect spot for a pre or post dinner drink to take in the views over the Nxamaseri River.
