As far as scenic locations go, it doesn’t get much better than on the shores of the world-famous Lake Louise. Scenery aside, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise brings its own charms to the table: grand décor, a host of great restaurants, and a rejuvenating spa.

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise began its life in 1890 as a modest cabin. It’s since transformed into a palatial escape for adventure seekers on the shores of one of the world’s most photographed lakes. Rooms and suites are bright and contemporary, but the views are the real showstopper here. Some rooms face out onto the grounds, but there’s nothing like catching sight of Lake Louise or snow-dusted peaks first thing in the morning. Signature Suites are the ultimate indulgence. They feature extras like Med-style balconies or wraparound floor-to-ceiling windows. There’s a wide variety of restaurants to sample, whether you’re in the mood for German comfort food, fine dining with a Rocky Mountain twist, or quaint afternoon teas. Craft cocktails and fine wines can be savoured at several lounges, and, during the summer, the lobby lounge patio offers the best seat in the house for sensational lakefront views. An action-packed adventure programme means you’re covered when it comes to discovering Banff National Park. There’s a complimentary shuttle to Lake Louise Ski Resort, too. Back inside, soothe the day’s activities away with a massage at the spa, a restorative yoga class, or a few laps of the indoor pool.

This was an amazing hotel. The services were amazing and the check in people were friendly. The hotels were very nice and the bathrooms had both showers and baths. I would recommend this to everybody, but this was a bit expensive. I came in the spring and it was $600.
